You can’t have enough coffee and good food. A motto a lot of us live by and so another welcome addition to Kilkenny’s Canal Square is the appropriately named ‘Canal Square’ café! The Café is ran by the talented Cormac Rowe who’s certainly no stranger to good food and beverages after spending 11 years in Mount Juliet as executive head chef of the Lady Helen Restaurant and winning a Michelin star in 2014.
The café is nestled alongside the historic walls of Kilkenny Castle, overlooking the River Nore it offers locally roasted, specialty coffee, freshly baked pastries, and delicious breakfast and lunch items prepared in-house by the fantastic team. It is the perfect place for a pit stop and take a break from some festive shopping! They offer delicious, seasonally-inspired food throughout the day, to eat in or takeaway.
