Eat like royalty with Mount Juliet Estate
If you have ever been lucky enough to experience Mount Juliet Estate in full swing then you’ll understand why they are held in such high esteem with anyone that has graced the old house, Hunter’s Yard or just cycled around the acres of their fabulous estate. There are endless activities to enjoy on your stay including golf on the award winning and hopefully in 2021, the course to host the Irish Open, enjoy a relaxing spa treatment or go on a treasure hunt!
What I am most excited about returning to Mount Juliet is for their Michelin Star Lady Helen Restaurant in the Manor house, with all the food sourced either on the estate or local farms. Executive head chef John Kelly commented on Mount Juliet’s site that says, “if you’re able to work with the best and freshest produce, then you’re able to bring the best flavours to the fore. By sourcing so locally, I’m able to personally oversee every order and ensure that every ingredient that makes its way to our diners is up to our exacting standards.”
As we’re here to talk about what we can feast on this Friday and how to eat like King’s and Queen’s at home we caught up with Siobhán O Sullivan, Director of Sales and Marketing at Mount Juliet Estate and she shared the details about their take-away menu and also upcoming events for mother day.
Siobhan, what makes Mount Juliet unique for visitors and what can they expect?
Mount Juliet is located on a 500 acres Estate dating back to 1750’s. It’s rich in history and heritage and was originally owned by the Butler family that also owned Kilkenny castle.
